Arbiter was on the fence about whether or not she should head out and try to search for Terance herself, but the longer it was, the more she knew it would probably be pretty useless. They'd be miles and miles away by now, and since they hadn't returned... It didn't bode well. It opened the door for other things, not that she was particularly positive about them. Everything had been pretty grim. Certainly a turn of fortune had to be ahead, but that didn't mean that she was totally counting on it happening. She would suffer through. Or whatever was necessary.
And that was what had drawn her down into the forest nearby again -- that vague chance something might happen. If not, it was only a short walk back to the Bypass. Maybe she could convince her remaining son to head out and find some more wolves -- she trusted Spook far more than Brou -- or something. She exhaled sharply, trying to clear her mind, then caught a bit of movement not too far beyond.
She moved forward towards it. Another wolf, unfamiliar.
