Permission given to powerplay and kill the male

Clarence hadn't expected this to be so... dangerous. These creatures weren't that big, but they were ferocious, and the male lunged for him. The boy rolled with the animal, hoping that someone would get Famine out of the vicinity before the female hurt him too badly.

He hardly registered the pain at first - the cuts were clean and quick, his skin fileted by long claws that he hadn't realized any animal but a bird could have. The spotted boy kicked the beast off of him for long enough to gain his bearings, but it was all so quick. Still, he was confident that he could handle it, and slammed his body into the male's, rolling into a heap of flying claws and fur and teeth.

Despite the size difference, it was a rough fight. Clarence's lungs were screaming at him, but they were so tightly intertwined that it'd be near impossible for another wolf to come in and separate them. But he liked it this way - the thrill of the fight, so up close and personal. It was familiar, and he flourished there.

The boy eventually managed to pin the creature down and sink his teeth into its throat, jerking his head back and forth as fangs cut cleanly through the jugular, just as he'd been taught. The lynx's hind claws scored deep gashes along his belly and flanks, but he didn't register it. Not yet, anyway.

It would meet its end relatively quickly, with its throat destroyed and the dying screech on its maw, and Clarence would shake it a few more times to make sure it really was dead before he let it go.

Stepping away was difficult, and his vision was slightly blurry. His fur was more red than it was white, and he would have some more scars to add to his collection. The boy sat down with a thump, hazy red eyes staring at the corpse of the creature he'd mangled and hoping the others could take the female on without him, because he was dizzy and his body had suddenly decided that it no longer wanted to stand. Adrenaline and focus would make it nearly impossible for him to tell just how hurt he was, but he was pretty sure all of his organs were still in his body.
