@Reiko maybe father @Takeshi but I think this thread is gonna go pretty fast. 

Little Hotaru had grown quite content with life as it was. During the day she would take some time to go out if Reiko permitted and explore the surrounding area, otherwise, she was content with eating and sleeping for most of her days. The little trips out of the den were fairly tiring to her, perhaps it was due to her still-growing body. When she was den bound though she enjoyed her time with her siblings or the times her mother sang to her.

It had become a fun game for her to try and mimic the sounds she made, though her results were often squeaky if there were ever close enough to make something that represented a syllable. Today she had padded over to her mother's side once more and prodded at her as she usually did letting out a whine followed by something garbled but on the closer side to an actual word. Ss— saoung?
