Especially when he scented one of them making rounds across the borderlands. Already, too, which to someone else who made their share of rounds, it certainly sparked some interest. It gave him a good heading on just where to find at least one of them too. An opportunist, and interested enough in learning more, he skimmed a confident route through the dark after the freshest trail to lead him to the male of the younger pair.
