New Snow drew closer with her, moving toward the other heel. This was the scent they sought; if it could be felled between the two of them, New Snow would be more than pleased. It might not be quick, but it could be done with patience. Lilia was wise in her movements, herding it away.

She nipped at its heels. For now it was the running game; exhaust it! And bleed it, too, if possible—but not at the expense of slowing themselves down, as there were only two of them and none to pick up where the other left off. A hunters game of leap frog.
