Her time at the lake was enjoyed due to her meal and time spent with the other woman there, but it didn't offer her sanctuary or fullfilment. Evermore liked to believe she could handle living on her own and that being lonely would never be the end of her. Yet, she had to admit, it bit at her bones nonstop. It reminded her of the problems she encountered, the problems she ran away from and what not. The food silenced the thoughts for only a bit of time, before her brain began to concoct its poor thoughts once again.
Her pace grew quick as she moved from the lake and found herself in an open space. It was chilly, with a light coating of white snow beneath her paws. The wind whistled in her ears, the frost began to nip at her heels. And, perhaps out of spite, Evermore lifted her muzzle to the sky and released a song of her own. Her breath fogged up in front of her eyes, like a dragon's smoke billowing out from its nose and mouth.
"Hello to anyone out there"
Her song ended after, and she soon sat herself upon the hill, looking down at the meadow. If needed, she would trudge through that snow to find someone to answer her call. Until then, she sat quietly, letting the atmosphere's silence return.

thanks for starting!! it's been so so long since we had a thread... back to the OG rosings days!
his fur ruffled as he rolled his shoulders, trying to get an edge off the coldness that enveloped him. winter was the same every year, but this one felt especially bad. maybe it was just that this winter was spent scrambling to form a pack and gain resources. or maybe the stench of the famine that still lingered. plus, it was breeding season already, which was alarming to terance, who felt like his litter had hardly even been weaned. but he supposed it'd been a while. either way, this winter was certainly sneaking up on him... and it didn't seem to be ebbing.
he continued through the territory.
the sound of a lonely howl, desperate, grabbed him by the scruff. he paused as he stood to identify it, deciding the voice was not one he knew. but still, terance tilted back his head and howled back to the voice. i'm here, wait. and then, he padded towards it. it wasn't too far...
terance saw a wolf in the nearby distance, his ears flicking upwards, nose twitching, as he identified the wolf for a brief moment.
you called?he called out into the snowy terrain, along the bank of the lake. he took a tentative step forward, still watching. his tail waved gently at his hocks.

shiiiii man i'm so glad we could thread together again! i miss the rosings ;u;
Crystallized tear drops from the sky began their dance towards the surface of the Earth, gently swaying in the breeze and kissing the ground ever so carefully. Everything in the world seemed in tact, everything had an order it followed and executed with ease. Somehow, Evermore was caught in the sea of now knowing her place, not knowing what she's meant to do. She felt jealous of these snowflakes that effortlessly landed on her, they seemed to know what they were meant to do, while she of all things didn't. She annoyingly bit at a few, though regretted it slightly when the coldness stung her mouth.
With a huff, she sat still and let them coat her in a light white dusting. Her call hadn't been quite answered yet, she felt like turning back towards the lake. At least the ducks made some sort of noise to keep her mind occupied. She was impatient at times, certainly desperate at the moment; Evermore felt like losing hope about her future with others and wondered what it was like to be a hermit. But, before she could even move her legs, however, someone responded to her, comforting and letting her know to wait. Abiding by the caller's request, she sat in place, her eyes peeled trying to look for the responder.
Before her came a dark male, beautiful in her eyes. Scarred, but it hardly took away from his nice appearance. He greeted her, and Evermore couldn't help but smile. "Didn't think I was going to get a response," she said honestly, "but I'm glad you did. What's your name?" She was curious about him, he smelt like he came from somewhere, though it was still an unfamiliar scent to her nose.

sorry for the delay !!!!
terance, answered the boulder as the tan lady drew nearer, a smile of his own still pressed to his scarred maw,
and yourself?he turned the question back upon her with a gentle tip of his head, ears cupped forward as he anticipated a response.
he looked over her, curiously for a moment, before he decided he was confused.
i thought you might be hurt,he admitted with a quirk of his brow,
just in need of company?
