All Welcome
True to form, a lot was happening. The earthquakes worsened, weather shifted fast towards autumn, and around them all, earth changed, morphed--permanently, and not, though who was he to judge with certainty; he just knew what he thought he did after all his time upon it--and chasing the information out of his mother and father growing up.

Thankfully their family here on Moonspear balanced on a careful, lucky precipice so far. Though he still held his breath every time he felt the now-familiar signs of seismic activity.. and it was not a situation recent days were helping, considering the alarmingly fresh ferocity the mountains cried out with while on the other side, he saw fatigue plain on nature's face. So thanks to this, unease had blended well into him, but he had plenty to keep him busy here. While others were out searching, he could still be well when it came to what was theirs. After all, it was their wealth here that was why they could still be okay.

And, like here on this chilly, gray day, he was finding himself able to spend more time with them now that they were a lot more.. wolf-like, and therefore able to appreciate the rest of the mountain. Not that they had ever been a fragile bunch, but courtesy Hydra's paws, they were not usually that difficult to deal with by now. He had successfully rallied up @Atlas, @Osiris, and eventually @Antares too by promising a patrol with him to look for damages after the last quakes. Jarilo let @Vega decide if she wanted to stay with @Lyra for now, since they would be back around soon enough--by dusk, and he was pretty sure they seemed busy with something that didn't need their help.

With the willing caravan in tow, he set them all to a very careful prowl on the way to the meadow he wanted them all to check on. He had motives enough of his own after the creeks had swelled and changed course, but he did remember exploring in a similar way when he was growing up, and tagging along on what his parents did for his younger siblings. He tried to tap into those kinds of memory when it came to the pups, not ones riddled with grief still. Stay close at first. You can cover the meadow when we get there, he warned over his shoulder. And watch for small prey there, too.. so be careful, We need anything we can find. Plus, he was pretty sure Dirge wouldn't mind if he helped them hunt a bit, too.. although Jarilo personally had an easier time focusing on guard when times were so tense, he barely had an appetite, anyway. But, those were growing cubs.. he noted as he saw one of the darkfurred ones in his periphery striding along almost able to match him when he wasn't trying; they needed it.. and ranging around like this, tiring out their growing bones and minds, was going to send them home hungry.

Soon the elevation gave the shifts and the forest started to thin out, so they were almost there. He took another headcount, and deep breath before he let them fan out properly just yet. That would wait until he saw the meadow was clear of anything too disturbed.. but, soon, of course as they moved along the pathway there.
tags are for ref as i basically borrow almost the whole litter anyway lmao. *eyes* if anyone else is out roaming?
