it seemed it was quiet in the territory lately -- save for brou and pike's screaming. the borders still saw visitors, though. terance heard the sound of a howl while on his patrol, beginning to make his way towards the call. 

terance was no wiser than the trick the stranger had pulled upon him, not scenting anything adherently wrong with the stranger. but, why should he have? the leader arrived as he always did, standing tall, ears pricked, and gaze rested upon the outsider with nothing but patience. his demeanor begged all the questions that he didn't ask, but still, terance cleared his throat in the cold air. can i help you? the stone asked, tail flicking as it arched above his rear.
