All Welcome
Moving this forward in time to roughly the 30th!

He was heading home and he wandered his way through the hot springs.

In the mist he'd spotted something small rushing along the edges of one of the more distant pools. Curious and opportunistic (or rather, seeking some sort of distraction to get his minds off things), Mal had voyaged after it, slinking along trying to find some kind of a scent through the sulfur. He'd never had much luck finding anything edible here, so if it was prey, he wanted to know what it was, where it was from, and then he needed to catch it.

Problem was, it was already looking unlikely. Aside from that initial flash and bit of hope, he was having a hard time finding the track. In the heart there was less snow, more earth and rocks, and that didn't leave the nice easy tracks that he could visually follow. But how long should he try?

He paused, looking forward, one paw held off the ground ad he looked ahead, searching for where it might have gone. It needed to show up soon, he didn't like being surrounded in this stench -- the edges were bad enough.
