@Eloise here we go! Sorry this is probably a bit short and rusty.

After spending the entirety of the winter mainly alone he'd come out almost unscathed. Aside from being underweight from the near constant traveling and having a few new scars the young man looked healthier than he ever had. His secret? Would remain so for the time being if not forever. Valour wasn't proud of the choices made the past few seasons but he'd wanted to stay alive more than he wanted to stay a good man. The decision to return home had been one he'd pondered for months after his reunion with Kynareth had proven he wasn't ready. Nightmares, self introspection, drugs, violence and a lot of self confidence gained had brought him to the conclusion that he was being an idiot wandering the lands alone when his heart and interests lay behind him in Teekon.

Now he wasn't too sure it was a good idea to return.
The russet agouti sat chewing up Aloe and wild garlic dreading the stomach he'd have from the little bit he would wind up absorbing and swallowing. He had tufts of fur torn out and scratches everywhere from having lost his footing on a cliff winding up tumbling through stone, dirt and landing in a patch of brambles which of course had thorns. Never having been able to learn much more about medicine than he'd gotten from Serem and that one other lady who's name he forgot, all he could remember was the toxic remedy he was currently beginning to lick into the scratches he could reach on his flank. There was some on his shoulders, his face as well, areas he couldn't reach which he realized wasn't good at all. He grumbled to himself, too quietly to be heard coherently. He'd gotten so many infections from simple wounds that he knew he'd need to find someone to pester about helping him because he was sure to find himself feverish and half dead within the next few months otherwise "Damnit."

You're totally fine, post length could be any size and it won't phase me at all! ^-^ (and sorry it took a while to respond)

Eloise had some of her own injuries to tend to, with that attack from weeks before making it difficult to maneuver at times, but the woman was still a natural born caregiver nonetheless -- if another was in need, she'd offer her assistance whether they asked for it or not. Regardless of the situation.
and this was one of those particular situations.
Eloise had decided to wander away from Ashlyn's side for the time being to seek out herbs for her shoulder, which was still a bit raw from some neglect on her part. Yet she became distracted when the presence of another waltzed into the feilds, and from a distance,  the owl stood dormant behind a tree to watch what he'd been doing.
He stunk of old wounds -- well -- old blood to be more specific -- and looked in overall bad shape. He seemed to be trying to mend the scrapes and scratches that covered his hide himself, and Eloise couldn't help but wonder if he knew how to use the very herbs that surrounded him.
Ellie had grew up in a sheltered, pampered life away from much socialization, so the idea of waltzing up behind the man and peering over his shoulder did not strike her as strange. Or potentially dangerous.
Which is exactly what she did, if you hadn't guessed.
"Cursing out the herbs will not turn them into paste, Sir"

No worries, take all the time you need I don't stress reply times.

The way the Aloe and garlic gooped together in his mouth was absolutely unpalatable, it wasn't hard to tell that something about the mixture was wrong. Even so it was the only thing he knew aside from loading up on Poppy so he kept chewing until the garlic no longer crunched in with the Aloe. Just as Valour was spitting the smelly mixture out onto his paws to attempt rubbing them over the wounds on his face someone came up on his blind side and he responded instinctively with startled aggression leaping to his paws and whirling around so he could see her with his good eye. The remaining mixture in his mouth pooled out in a long unpleasant string of drool as his lips curled over his teeth, bared and ready to snap as what she'd said finally sunk through the rush of panic.

Standing there with his hackles raised he spat the rest of the herbs to the ground momentarily pausing while his eye roamed over her examining her posture, injuries and everything to analyze whether the words were actually mocking him....and finally he relaxed his ears flicking backwards and hindquarters lowering to the ground ,all aggression fading away as he decided that she looked too messed up herself to be here for any reason other than healing.  "Intimidation has never failed to save me before" he said and lifted one goo coated paw to his face awkwardly rubbing it over his wounds, hissing at the stinging pain and setting it down again "Damnit".
