There was a smile at the mention of her son. “He has taken after me in that regard… I would be remiss to say I was not relieved… two necks on the line in my family is more than enough for me, and it appears that Nanuq may have taken after his father, a fighter rather than a healer.” She had hoped she might make them both healers… but it did not appears so.
 
“It is okay… he is doing his duty just as I do mine… and I know he will return to me as soon as he is able.” She finished clearing away the crusted marigold, looking at the injury. "It is healing well. I will reapply the poultice. Has there been any pain since the initial incident?"
