All Welcome
the sunny and clear skies from earlier in the day were a false advertisement of what was to come. tucked away beneath an evergreen, acrux had not expected to awaken from his afternoon nap covered in a blanket of snow. unexpectedly, it felt rather nice, and surprisingly enough, kept him rather warm once the initial layer had begun to cling to his fur.

he rose to shake off what snowflakes yet hung to him before marching off in search of @Rolayne. he wasn't aware of how long his younger brother intended to stay on the mountain, but if one thing was certain, it's that they were overdue for a boys' night out.

Rolayne generally hung out wherever Sialuk was. He was so happy to have her near, and, while he enjoyed their trips, he was ready for them to go back to Moontide. Everything would be perfect, and everyone would be back together. It was that thought that lifted his spirits. He didn't really care where they were, as long as they were all together.

He was hanging out in front of the ulaq when a familiar form appeared. Cruck! he exclaimed. He lifted his body from the ground and headed over to meet him, body wagging with excitement. The adults were fun, of course, but Acrux was closer to his age and energy level. Plus, in Rolayne's mind, they were brothers despite the few weeks in age difference. You come to 'oontide? he asked. As they had the same mother, and Sialuk was going, it only made sense that Acrux and Maggak would come, too.

If Rolayne had it his way, he would just bring all of Moonspear back to Moontide.

it didn't take long to spot the black bear look-alike amongst the sheet of fresh snow, and acrux quickly padded over to go meet him. he greeted rolayne with a boyish bump to the shoulder as the question rang out into the air. acrux, assuming his brother meant for a visit, simply shrugged his shoulders and let out an indifferent, "maybe." the itch to go explore past the border had naturally grown in the last month, but having visited the tide before, the babe was aware he did not hold any appreciation for the shore.

"how long you gonna stay?" he asked with some fleeting hope that they boy's answer might be forever. if rolayne stayed, then neither of them would have to leave to visit the other, and in acrux's mind, this made the most logical sense.

Rolayne didn't quite understand how Acrux didn't know if he was coming with Sialuk and himself or not, but maybe they had given him the option and he just hadn't made up his mind yet. He shrugged when asked how long he was gonna stay. Will go when Mom is ready, he said. Really, he was ready to go back. He missed his Dad and Panuk. And he was ready to live a life that included his Mom, Dad, and brother all in the same place.

But,  until then, he would have fun while he was here. Wanna go play? he asked, ears perked towards Acrux. Rolayne was ready to stir up some action with his brother, whatever it was.

his brother's answer sparked a ablaze a candlelight of mischief in the back of the boy's mind. if rolayne left when anaa was ready, then acrux would simply have to ensure that his pale mother was never available to go. he wouldn't cause any obvious trouble, no, he would simply...delay any work gone in to planning the trip to moontide. some bad berries to spoil the meat and cause explosive diarrhea would be a fantastic idea! surely no one would intend to travel while they've got the runs.

but his plan for nature's laxatives could wait until later, right now called for some fun. "yeah!" he cheered when asked to play, tail giving a few excited wiggles behind him. "what'cha wanna play? make a snowmans, have a snow battle, build an ig-" he trailed off, trying to remember what that word was called. "an igloo?" yeah, that sounded right.
