It was the dawning, the sun was falling and the moon was creeping up, yet the lilac wolf did not falter to the beckoning sleep. She felt at peace, knowing the Goddess brought to her more knowledge to the world. Other religions unlike her own, and a wolf who had the same loving to his own gods. She wondered what else would be brought to her to these lands, and was excited to see. Her temptation and lust for the unknown was a sinful nectar.
She stood by the water of a blue lake, Miriam closed her eyes and listened to the sounds of the running water and the whispers of the tree. She was at true peace within one's minds meditation.

Very obvious matters at home had kept him very busy. Since Kukutux had come from Courtfall and he learned of the full of extent of what that was supposed to mean (given Arcturus' apparent refusal on the matter), that had always sort of hung in the back of his thoughts no matter what else he did.. which by now that he had time to come around some, didn't always feel so wrong, not when he had started to not mind being a little less lonely and a little more in her company.
But, it had all come dropping in front of him when he had just started to compartmentalize a piece of interest elsewhere, slow as he was. Something that had stuck around longer than most, so finally about that.. on a restless whim he finally grew tired of stifling, he departed the mountain to hopefully find some peace about it for himself--just to better find out where he wanted to stand. Or if nothing else, he could work off some energy on the way out and around, and dodge his family obligation for only a moment in the meantime.
Nothing too hopeful lured his nose specifically, but he retraced his steps to the last time he had seen the grayscale Blackthorn, leading him right to the lake. It would be easy if he could get so lucky again, though he wasn't counting on it. Otherwise, south from here, he would follow the river closer to the copse and go from there. At least he knew she had run with the Firebirds not too long ago--and possibly still did? Why he hoped so, he didn't want to say.. not with how it was at home, free of extra complication if only he let it be.
But he had to focus on the present now. There, he did find someone, at least.. so he approached carefully, watching the stranger intently as he neared. He certainly didn't know her, or her purposes here, so aimed himself at a piece of shoreline a short distance from hers.

She felt enlightened, as the moonlight silently wrapped around with a warm touch. She felt the nature whisper it's words, it's healing and wishing, the calling to the wilds. The land had been hit by disasters, and she can hear the singing of joy, for it was time to heal. Her paw softly drew a circle in the dirt, as she prayed to it's healing. May Goddess help its darkness recover, and let it mend what was once destroyed. The reshaping can never be undone, but Miriam hoped to embrace it's new fracture.
When she lifted her head, the maiden looked over and saw a darken stranger. He was not a pack smell she recognized, definitely not one of Bronco's or Towhee's, but someone else, "Hello," she greeted, a small dip of the head in a polite manner.

When the smokey-furred stranger greeted him first, he pivoted slightly to face her for a good look at her, and slowed his paws as he did. The water, the nearing shore--he knew them. Not her.
But, as for him, he kept it vague.
Hi,he returned levelly, dipping his nose in a quick nod as he did back a lot like her own gesture had been. He was looking to observe her finer details, if she may tell him any.
But, as for him, he kept it vague.
Were you busy here?he asked, head tilting slightly as he did. He did not recognize anything about her, not her scent, nor sight.
I was.. just planning to pass by a bit, see how the lake was,he detailed vaguely at the mysterious company he had come upon. He still couldn't say if he would stay long or not yet. He did like this place, even in the different times and circumstances he had come upon it during. Not seeing or smelling, any sign of Clover meant he still had more ground to cover before he could call his efforts actually fulfilled, though, so that certainly hung in the back of his mind.
Miriam shook her head, "I am admiring the sounds." She felt being wrapped within nature itself, for a wolf was always one within. To run free and be wild, she always wished to be so. To see what the world has to offer, and the Goddess, telling signs to be. A guide, not a order, she only gave a choice, to show a path that could be taken. How much more, would come for opportunities? However, there was some that was ignored quite some time. Perhaps the sign of Firebirds constantly being in her life, was one to join it. Alas, the Goddess was not clear enough, for those signs.
Her ears were clear, to hear the sound of what was around, but at times her mind was fogged, and unable to read the magic that was surrounding them all, "It is beautiful."

When she detailed a touch further, he was suddenly all the more aware of all the finest pieces of the peace. It was quiet, only at first glimpse--but maybe she even knew beyond that. Jarilo couldn't claim to know it all, not there, not from her point of view. Point did remain, if it was quiet she had been here to absorb, he was going against that grain now; best to keep his company brief, then--but she did not seem against him passing through so far. He'd see.
As with many encounters in his times wandering the wilderness near the mountain, he would set out to find out what he could first, but never intend to linger long. Names, places, a few other pieces--he'd keep it simple, and be on his way to see if he could find Clover.
Sorry, I've probably interrupted your lakeside sounds pretty thoroughly then,he shook his head softly.
It is beautiful. I know no other places near here quite like it,the dark Ostrega gestured at the scenery at large.
I guess I've started to make it a habit to come by,he went on to say for himself after a soft chuff, glancing around, but eventually returning to her. He liked the relative height of it, and a good peaceful waterside was difficult to deny.
I'm Jarilo. Do you live somewhere near here?he provided, then decided to ask since he still did not recognize anything about her; the scents he could catch were all too vague, nothing pinning her to any one group he knew.
