What the fuck is time? Cupid didn't know. Each day was like the other. Everything he saw was the same, everything he did was the same. He was starting to get a little stir crazy, so he assumed his son was to. So today, he decided, was the day they'd finally take a trip outside.

This sudden decision made him anxious as hell. Even as he guided Caerus out the den he considered turning back. Maybe this adventure thing could wait another few months. What if he got hurt out here? It's too late to go back inside now. They're already out here.

Cupid took a deep breath and looked down at the boy with a smile. It's about time we stretch our legs don't you think? He took a few steps forward and looked back to see if he'd be followed.

Tail wagged a mile a minute- dad was taking him.outside this time, which meant no being carried back inside or caught in his escapade acts. If dad was encouraging it, then certainly he would not stop their journey. Caerus was ever-curious, eager to learn about the world that surrounded them, unaware how far it could stretch past their den. The most he'd ever made it away was a few yards, and he couldn't fathom that a thing as large as a forest existed. 

Cupid looked down to him, speaking the language that Caerus was getting quite used to hearing. The boy stared back with round blue eyes, mouth pulled upward into an innocent grin. weeee!!! He squealed happily in response, stumbling after his father on oversized paws.

Well, he wasn't expecting anything other than an affirmative squeal. Boy's been stuck in a tiny den for most of his life and he's always finding opportunities to escape. Cupid would be overjoyed if he were in his shoes. It made him feel kinda bad for keeping him cooped up, but it was for the best. Besides they were out here now; time to have a some fun.

Let's get goin' little man, he said between laughter. And where exactly would they go? Hell if he knew. Cupid had yet to see most of neverwinter. Looks like they'd discover this forest together.

Cupid trotted forward like a deer. Very exaggerated, very stupid, but if it entertained Caerus he didn't care all too much.

wet get go!!! He imitated- it was probably the closest he'd come to speaking real words yet. He followed after dad, ever-observant of their surroundings as they walked- it probably wasn't very far for Cupid, but to Caerus, the world was much more vast than he'd ever known.

His father began to walk oddly- something stick-boned and prancy. Of course the boy had never seen a deer, but he'd seen wolves walk enough by now to know what was normal and what was not. And that- was definitely not the normal way wolves walked. eeheeheeheehee!!!! He giggled, a broad smile on his face, eyes sparkling with the telltale glitter of laughter.
