All Welcome
maybe someone she hasn't met yet? <3

Today was different than most days. Jakoul commonly haunted the borders but today she ventured deeper into the territory she called home. It was time for her to become more acquainted with the land. She could only hide in the roots of trees on the border for so long. Somewhere deep inside, she knew it was not safe either. She was no hulking beast to be a line of defense. She would be vulnerable to any built loner or ravenous beast.

Maybe she would find a new place to haunt.

been so looking forward to meeting her heh

so it seemed she'd been right to think one of the ravens for some unknown reason, had been giving her some special attention. the moment she'd arrived back into the woods from her little detour around bearclaw valley a few days prior, the same one had found her and had seemed to make some final decision in its little head and hadn't left her side since. she could pick him out easily now, the same way one might find a set of indentical twins impossible to tell apart until you befriend them and suddenly realise after spending some time with them that they in fact look very different and you're left wondering how on earth you couldn't tell them apart before. anyway that was her with bertók, oh yea he had a name now too.

there was something oddly reassuring about his presence and although she'd been skeptical about his intentions at first, she'd settled surprisingly easily into the companionship and already even after such a short time felt odd without him flying nearby.

soft steps carried the ghostly girl through her home, feeling oddly content. not that one could exactly guess that from her expression, it remained aloof as ever but within she felt strangely....warm? okay maybe a weird description but she wasn't good at these kind of feelings so it would have to suffice. it was not long before a shadow caught her attention, except it was not actually a shadow but a dark girl blending nicely with the woods around her. tundra had to give it to her, she moved with a fluidness quite like her own grace and the pale woman would slow, head tilting to the side ever so slightly- the only betrayal of her curiosity as siding that her face would remain expresionless as ever. doll eyes glinted in the dappled light filtering through the tall trees as she'd simply murmur a soft but cool toned; "hey" at the other. somewhere off to the side she noted bertók settling on a branch- observing them both with his beady eyes.

ah i'm so glad you joined!

Hey.

Carefully, her hunched form spun around to meet the voice that beckoned her attention. A brief glance made Jakoul think that perhaps it was Maegi, but things were missing on this stark figure. Lacking the uniqueness of Blackfeather's Nona. So her tail found refuge between her lanky limbs in a respectful manner. Of all the pale creatures Jakoul had met, this one was still different from the rest. Small but fit, cream tones in their thick pelt and warm brown eyes that seemed to betray the coolness of the voice that had called.

Hello. She breathed to the stranger. They smelled of home and the feathered ones hidden in the tree tops did not cause a ruckus at their presence. She figured no harm would come to her. Not this deep into the territory with such stillness around them.

a curious blink is all that's given as the dark form is quick to take on a pose of submission, this surprises her and since there's no need for such an action she voices this. "there's no need for that" it slips softly from pale jaws yet somehow still manages to sound as if it were edged with shards of ice. her appearance is quite magnificently eerie and whilst it may not sound like the highest of compliments it was certainly what tundra meant of it. her small slip of a body coated in complete darkness seemed like the type that would give her an uncanny ability to become one with the shadows, something she found herself envying right off the bat. the way her pale form stood out within the woods siding the snowy months was beyond irritating when she liked nothing more than the idea of being able to slip away from things unnoticed. the eyes too were of swirling silver, giving her a spiritual presence more than anyhing. she felt if she reached forward and touched the other girl she'd simply become displaced air that had formed for the pure intention of confusing her.

a returned greeting would be exhaled from her form and then that was that. really tundra hadn't planned on what would be said after her intital word, being so downright awful at small talk she'd usually let whoever else was in her presence carry the conversation but this female seemed content to leave it at that. the soldier would simply blink, whilst the idea of 'feeling awkward' didn't really affect her she was aware it was what the situation would be described as and still felt an urge to rid the air of it. "been here long?" is all she can finally come up with, shooting a rueful look in bertók's direction as he cackles from his perch. asking for her name would have perhaps seemed like an easy way to go but she always forgot about that, names had never been an important feature in her past and it showed now. in fact a lot of things from her past really showed in her ability to make basic conversation..or more lack of it.

ahh sorry for the wait

She was beginning to learn that it seemed to become obvious in moments if anyone here wanted to harm her. So far no one did. No one had lashed at her skittering form or snapped rude words at her. Kindness had, in one way or another, been passed from Blackfeather's inhabitants to Jakoul. Had she been better with words she likely would have had some words of thanks to pass around.

Time passage was tricky for her to track. Days blurred into nights and unless seasons changed or the weather dramatically shifted, she did not count how much time had passed. And so her head offered a small shake. No. Was the meek answer that slipped from her jaws.

The tip of her tongue fought against her teeth, the desire to repeat the question back was strong but the way to properly format it eluded her. Home long? She settled on with less tact than the other but the question all the same.
