Ashlar did what he could for them both. He treated the strange wolf's wounds, mistrustful of the strange thing around her neck but unable to remove it as well. He worked around it instead.

He sensed that Augur wished to wait, so it wasn't until he had done all he could that he began to clean his packmate's wounds.

He would return to the Rise later, either to escort them or to take word. For now Ashlar settled in near Augur, keeping watch over them both and prepared to assist should anything be needed.
