An answer came, and Amekaze's ears twitched at the unexpected handling of the words with an accent she had never heard. Simply put, and not quite how most would reply, she nodded to signal her understanding nonetheless. Then, the earthen-toned female spoke onward.
There were strange words interspersed. She had to listen carefully and think about what was being said. Zaria, Dotharan, Khalas, Zhavvi, Fitz... she fought the furrow of her browline. The red male said they were foreign-speaking wolves, and she realized swiftly that this was certainly a remnant of that -- and that she was telling her outright, even if it took the dark alpha a second to piece it together with so many strange titles sprinkled throughout. There was something about being left, and a different alpha now (assuming one elsewhere in the Teekon, but Fitz didn't ring familiar to her). She could not yet make heads or tails of this, but went with it all the same since she was not aggressive.
"I am Ame," she said. "Of the Sunspire," she provided with a gesture of her snout towards the tallest peak of the range behind her. If the female was from the grasslands pack at one point, maybe she would know of them or maybe not. She made it a point to keep the Spire out of local news when she could; some wolves could easily not know about them if they never ventured deep enough into the mountain range. She was fine with that sense of secrecy. "Do you know why they left?" she asked. Was she here looking for them or the answers to that herself, perhaps?
