Dawnlark Plains Moonrise Kingdom, only made for two

Takiyok introduced herself as a leader of IkKanattuk, and Rue made to exchange a meaningful glance with Liri. Was this the northern pack they were seeking? The name certainly had an odd ring, similar to the foreign words that sometimes slipped from Liri's tongue. Rue had expected they would have to travel further, most likely to the edge of a packland, in order to meet with a northern leader. How fortunate they were to have encountered one sooner rather than later. 

Takiyok made no comment on Liri's name, which Rue supposed meant that she didn't recognize the Tonrar patronymic. The IkKanattuk leader did speak a cautionary suggestion, one which prompted Rue to shift to a more wary stance. The leader was certainly not out of line yet-- the Blacktail Deer Plateau wolves were similarly protective of their borders-- but Rue was nothing if not a careful wolf. 

"We are from Blacktail Deer Plateau. Liri and Kavik lead us," she returned, figuring it would be good experience for her to have more of a voice in the negotiations this time around. "Indeed it is our intention to discuss pack business, if you're agreeable." Rue turned to her alpha then, clearly handing the floor to her leader to provide further explaination to Takiyok.
