Ruenna stepped into Liri's embrace once more, heaving a heavy sigh. "You know where to find me," she replied. Liri need not miss her; she was here, and she would be here whenever the Blackfoot needed her. 

Ruenna blinked in surprise at the traditional benediction Liri offered. A small smile played across her muzzle as she replied with a similar invocation from her own forbearers. "May the earth protect you and give you strength, and may the stars guide you."

The pair had previously noted similarities in the spiritual beliefs of their respective upbringings, and being reminded of that now somehow seemed auspicious. Perhaps she and Liri were distant kin, and their destinies truly were entertwined.
