sorry this toOK FIVE YEARS TO RESPOND
Since her diagnosis, the constable had done her best to not move much. She had made her home in the lush grass near the river, although with winter nearing each day she was finding it harder to accept the cold plains as home. What choice did they have though? At least it had been a tad quieter lately, though they were all hungry. This year was certainly proving to be cruel. Speaking of which—
A call came from across the plains, almost like a song as Hieronymous grew near. Part of her wanted to groan and sink into the earth she rested on. It was nice not having to interact with people thanks to her injury, but of course, someone decided to come her way. She should be thankful to have packmates that care, but they still had not staked their permanent presence here yet and until that was done she'd rather the pack focus on other tasks.
Hiero was not one to give up that easily though, something she had found only recently since the man joined their ranks. Accepting her ultimate fate, Ira raised her head enough for her golden eyes to peak up at the painted man heading her way.
