My mom was the one who left, first, at least, he'd not go into Delight's later failings this instant, and I wouldn't be abandoning anyone. Now he wasn't promising to be tied to anyone for life or anything, but he would take care of whatever kids he ended up having -- if they stayed here at least. He didn't see it as a big deal, which was likely foolish in some ways, but it wouldn't stop him from trying. He could and would do better than his parents.
