He gave the deer a bit of a shove so they'd be able to get to the underside of it, still trying to not put too much weight on that one leg. It made him feel like a wuss. Hence the whole totally trying to ignore it thing. He could go rest it entirely when they eventually got back to the packlands.

He looked over to Vallkyrie with a grin, At least we can carry a good chunk of it back in our stomachs. He raised his head, howling for the pack to head over to share. See if that'll get 'em to hurry up. He reached down then, hooking his teeth into the deer's underbelly, starting to try to tear at it. It had literally been months -- maybe almost a year since he'd had fresh deer. Anything else was just scavenged, and you could bet he was gonna eat his fill on this one.
