Alduin watches her ears slant and he wonders if he said it too harshly. He doesn’t mean anything by it, he doesn’t doubt her status as a well rounded mother. He just doesn’t know how to be nice. It’s actually extremely hard for him and his brain just refused to let him be at peace. Always constantly at war with Banesteppe or his anger. 

He hums out a breath, looking away for a second. “I didn’t mean it that way.” He tries to say, but he just can’t physically get out something more sincere even though he feels sincere. “We can still spar. Just…easy.” He attempts a second time. Thinking he’s just embarrassing himself at this point.
