Here was a common thing. Ashlar smiled, both relieved and happy to speak well of a packmate who he considered a friend. I do too. The quiet wasn't as heavy for Ashlar, and the pause gave him a bit to settle his nerves further. It was easier now that he was not speaking of himself and what he didn't know. He told me about war.
