a mark, a scent, bones of a meal. anything would have been welcomed and instead it seemed emptier than ever before.

as if it was not enough, she could feel the presence of the dead pressing down upon her lungs. choked and smothered by the knowledge of what laid in here now. it had been so much more manageable when panuk had been here.
