Seal frowned and looked over her shoulder at the uncaring and harsh mountain scrim. Her skin goosepimpled and her knees quaked. Even if she turned this offer down, would she survive another day alone?

“I can work,” she mumbled quietly – more to herself than the stranger as she considered their exchange.
