Seal trotted towards Pala's den. Though she wasn't much of a hunter, she had managed to kill a small woodchuck. It would be a good meal for a nursing mother. Between Pala and Viskani, Seal had her hands full with making sure they had everything they needed.

"Ah," Seal said when she saw Pala standing outside her den. From inside, the wails of her newborns echoed.

"Pala," though they didn't know each other well, Seal knew the mother's name. "Is everything okay?"
