Ajei had been asked and it was not fanfare she sought. It was merely the presence of those she cared about and loved. She hoped her brother @Mojag would come. But she also knew as a trader he may not make it. And that was okay. As long as he returned eventually healthy and whole.
The wedding was beautiful, limed in moonlight and a gentle bittersweetness that Ajei had learned to live with. So many faces that should be here were not, even her mother. Who she missed above all others.
She laid her own gifts for Arrluk. The deer hide she had caught with his father and then that she had carefully cared for and cleaned. Leaving it soft and supple for him. Small brace of fish she jad dried and cured. And an otter skin. For what she did not know, but it felt important for Arrluk knew of her reverance of otters.
She walked among the leaves of firemother. Their soft feel beneath her paw. Green gaze on the dearest of her heart. And it was fit to burst. She kept her gaze on him steady for the nerves that threatened to overtake her. Not for lack if love, merely for the gathering.
Words spoken and new harmony was wrought. New love forged. New roots put down. She returned the gesture and a small smile. Echoing his words.

I am yours and you are mine. May we always find a river to escape to and fish together.the last part she added quietly to him.
