Ajei did not try and hide her expression. It was good for her daughters to understand emotions and how things affected those around them. But it did hurt a little and for once she wished her mother had believed as Kuku had that she could return in dreams. 

A soft laugh, gentle, sad, heartbreaking. Oh my mama was Shikoba. And she was nothing like me. She was brave and strong and soft and the best hunter in the pack. She lead beside Kukutux and Aiolos as Star Hunter. She even trained Rodyn herself. Granted he had some of his own skills, but still. She didn't let teh world break her. She was brave and I miss her.
