Despite the chilly drizzle, she struck out into the open of the Vale with a forward, rolling lope. As the mountain's slope flattened, she steadily gained speed across the shadowed sanctuary; it had been a while since she had come this way, so the opportunity was fit for the taking.
Yet she wouldn't travel far from the Spire. She couldn't, really, as the solo leader. Even being away for a handful of hours felt.. innately wrong. It was something that she was handling carefully, and it was not always easy. She was loathe to admit the anxiousness she felt at times. Hopefully, soon, Jace would be willing for the position again, or someone else may rise to the expectations of filling a role such as that one. Truthfully, she mainly wanted Jace back to it, but.. what if he never wanted it again? Ame felt herself grimace.
So that was why she didn't want to go far. But also why she wished to get away, to stretch her legs, and not be wholly surrounded by the same mountain at all times (although its shadow still loomed prominently, even here). She could use to do some external scouting -- especially since a few of her members had gone scarce recently without cause. Maybe they'd left a trail. Or, by the off chance, she may find trace of the cougar they loathed. If nothing else.. tracking prey was always a valid option.
Once she was deep into the Vale and alongside the centerpiece creek, she slowed up to survey the area and all it may offer her.
