Duck Lake One world

I'd been kind of joking about that, she quietly quipped.  She knew that she wasn't exactly, well.. Approachable.  Standoffish and overly serious were probably better descriptors to her.  But she cautiously stepped towards him, ears tipped slightly back, head lowered, still unsure of herself, but he'd been refocused as a goal.  Treason hadn't thought much as to why she did this, or why other things recently had popped to mind.  She was not particularly wordly or emotionally savvy, she just went with the flow, and that was what her subconscious urged her to do.  Whatever it had meant.
