imrathil didn't anticipate the fog that rolled into dawnlark, quickly obscuring landmarks in the distance. as he looked up with a rabbit dangling from his jaws, he saw the scowling skies were heavy with snow -- a sign that gave him pause considering his location. he was well outside of their established territory, and if he got lost he guessed it was his own stupid fault.

he hadn't meant to return here - this place gave him the creeps, the way it looked burned and drowned at once. wraen had told him a pack had been here once, and as the wind shivered through the desolate trees he thought he heart the ghost of a howl following after it, fading into the rattle of winter winds.

imrathil frowned, inspecting the clouds as they rolled past. at least he had managed to catch a meal before the snow started falling.
