the teekon was made dimunitive in size when seen from atop the sunspire. in truth, bhediya had hardly made it halfway up before stopping, but it was enough of an accomplishment to make her feel proud. facing toward the valley, she could vaguely make out the vale through the thin layer of clouds. beside it was the emberwood, its border of aspens tall and forboding.
she sat there for all of the morning to watch the sunrise. bhediya planned to descend and go back to the lair, but thought that she quite enjoyed the solitude.
