desperately grateful for chacal's voice, ancelin listened raptly. 
all right, sounded like a fast game, something he could do. eagerly he pushed over his shell, only to find it empty.
briefly chagrined, the boy cleared his throat and looked around in curiosity to see who would be on his team, studiously avoiding glancing toward suzu again.
