he felt the flying limb connect with the side of his face, saw in slow motion his body fly backwards into the ground, and yet he did not know his defeat until engel placed a triumphant paw atop him. blinking in bewilderment up at his friend, adi looked around, trying to figure out who all had seen that.

if wolves blushed, aditya would be crimson.

a little annoyed, he shook off engel's paw and rose to his feet, the iron taste of blood in his mouth. luckily for him, engel hadn't knocked any teeth loose. "you win for now," adi muttered, throwing a baleful look his opponent's way before stalking away.

aditya took a seat near dawn and raid's upcoming spar, a smile returning to his face once more as he watched their preparations. it would be good for raid to get a small victory under her belt, for her confidence's sake--but he, naturally, was rooting for dawn. one of us has gotta come out on top today, he thought ruefully.

It seemed Pema felt similarly to Kieran about fighting, but he doubted he'd be able to match her in a fight anyway. She was older, and he'd never taken an interest in anything to do with fighting - far more interested in hunting was he, and that was the only hobby that he actively enjoyed and so the idea of sparring had never crossed his mind. However, he knew the reason for this event and was happy to partake in it.

Pema did not hesitate to make the first move - the boy felt the pressure on his shoulder and then swfitly he was on the ground. He gave a little chuckle but of course attempted to quickly make a recovery, rolling and thrusting outward with his hind legs, and successfully kicking Pema's jaw (he made sure not to do it too hard) so that it would distract her for a moment while he got up.

Oof! He was not expecting his baby boy to pack such a punch, but the male supposed that was his own fault. Sunny was a grown man, now, fully capable of taking on his old man. Except, not when he stopped to show such concern.

For a moment, Grayday laid gasping, his side heaving. He caught his breath rather quickly, but played at being injured a bit longer, waiting for Sunny to get closer. Are you alright? the kid asked, but Grayday heard the laughter in his voice. What an asshole, the father thought, holding in his own laughter. He couldn't wait any longer, and in a flash, had righted himself and launched his considerable weight in his son's direction, intent on barrelling him over as Sunny had just done to him.

Caught up in both his concern and trying not to laugh he was totally distracted. His laughter died out though when his father lay gasping on the ground and Sunny's tail dropped, ears flattening back just before Grayday launched himself with speed that sunny was totally not expecting.

With a yelp of surprise he got the full brunt of his dad's attack and slammed to the ground hard, his legs splayed out in all directions. For a moment he lay there staring at the air in front of him,a long slow wheeze leaving his lungs as the shock hit him. After a moment he sucked in air and turned to look at his dad with a mixture of surprise and Glee, finally bursting into laughter his tail going crazy behind him. "That was amazing dad! The way you just pretended to be hurt and then BAM! hit me!" He said through his laughter. He rolled to his belly and pawed at his father in a boyishly playful manner "my old man's still got some force to him! You and Uncle Shale have to teach me" he teased gently.

Pema chuckled along with Kieran a bit. Though the sound of it was much more muffled with a jawful of fur in her mouth. He quickly turned and kicked Pema's jaws with one of his hind legs. It caused her to release her grib, but it wasn't a hard enough blow to throw her off her game too much. Before Kieran had a chance to fully recovery and stand back up again she pinned him once again, this time in a way he could not recover. After holding that positions for a few moments and it was nonverbally confimed between the two that Pema had won she released her grib, and took a few steps back so he could stand up once again. "Quick thinking." she complimented him while quickly catching her breath.

She then looked around her to see who had won and who as still fighting.
