Joining
@Xan :)

Jonathan trotted along, allowing Anguta to lead the way until they reached his home. A dark place, lots of trees, lots of places to blend in. Blood red eyes glinting in the pale light, Jonathan swept her tail across the ground before coming to sit. She didn't need Anguta to tell her that this was the border. It was obvious, by the scent and the littered carcasses of all sorts of dead things. This pack definitely seemed to value killing, which Jonathan could work with. Knowing what she'd done, they might even welcome her. But still she would keep her past under raps until it was necessary.

With a slow glance to her red eyed companion, Jonathan gave him a small smile. This is really a lovely place you got here. She said, half sarcastically, half serious. She wouldn't want to offend on their own turf, but she liked to keep the mood light. The silky midnight wolf turned back and waited for him to call for his leaders.

Noting that this thread takes place directly after this one. ^^

Some part of the boy was shocked by the fact that he'd been able to win the female over. From past experiences, he knew he wasn't one of the easiest sorts to get along with, and so her decision to follow him was peculiar. In spite of that, he did not question it, deciding that whatever reason she might have for having followed would be something that he could put up with. Though, since he'd already gotten what he wanted, it was doubtful that she'd ever be permitted to invade his personal space again. An attempt at making that clear had been made during their trek towards the woods, but that hadn't gone well due to her having allowed for him to take the lead. That was looked past the moment they'd arrived, however, movements being drawn to a stop several lengths away from the clearly marked borders.

Words drew his attention over to her, the partially sarcastic tone that she'd taken to using having been ignored. "Sometimes it is, other times it isn't," he'd responded, eyes being directed back towards the shadows. "Be prepared to share with them what you're capable of." Depending on who might arrive, he doubted that they'd be pleased to see him there, and so a quick run through of the formalities would be best. Thus, he'd given her a second or two to prepare before his head was tilted back and he'd loosed a howl for @Damien, @Potema, and @Cicero.

@Seff was missing. A pit welled in Potema's stomach; she didn't want the brown pup to leave. He was a diligent student, interested in everything she did and always asking questions. Whether or not he missed his mother didn't matter (honestly, she didn't blame him), but he was far from home. This was his home now. She wasn't his mother, more his tutor than anything, but she was still in charge of his wellbeing. She wanted to prove Damien wrong.

Xan's howl interested her, drawing her away from his anxiety. She hoped that he had seen Seff, but it could just be her hopes being too high.

The white witch approached the borders, parting from the shadows and staring at the woman curiously. A recruit? Wait...wasn't Xan supposed to be in Wolfskull?

Seff's scent wafted off of the albino's fur, and Potema squinted, instantly curious and suspicious all at once. Where is Seff? She ignored the black female; Damien would deal with her once he arrived.

So sorry for the wait! <3

Jonathan's ear flicked at his comment, dismissing him quickly as no fun. She loved teasing, and play. It seemed Anguta didn't, but that was alright. She could work around that. She nodded at his comment about them asking for her skills. A simple task. She was a great fighter, huntress, and knew a bit about healing. On her own with her father for all those months, she'd had to learn to take care of herself. Something that she did excellently. The scarlet eyed female waited patiently beside Anguta until another white furred female arrived.

The first words from the female's mouth weren't what she expected, so she hung back a bit. She remembered Seff, and had always been good with faces and names. He was that goofy little kid who had intruded on Jonathan and Anguta by the lake. She'd almost forgotten about him. Her expression still as sly and blank as usual, she glanced towards Anguta, wondering what he'd say.

aw hell, i could not resist.
assuming this wasn't present dated, but lemme know if i need to change anything!

She had not seen much of her step son, not since before the birth and not even after. It had been almost a week since Alexander's siblings had been born, yet, she did not even know about the whereabouts of the boy himself. She knew he would not have left indefinatly without at least a simple goodbye, and his scent still lingered in the dark forest from what she could tell. The worries drifted in her mind, that he would reject her and Kove's children, as she suspected he had not been to keen on the idea of half-siblings in the first place. The fear of abandonment, the true cause of Alexander's worries and though she had tried to assure him that would never be the case, she was not entirely certian he had believed her.

That day, Kove had insited she take a short break while the pups had slept, for it would be her first in more than a week. The dark woman would not roam far, yet long enough so the cripple feeling in her legs would cease and the familiar feeling of air rushing through her pelt would return. And so she did. The borders ran solid as she ran, herself; pausing only to catch prey to fill a dwindling cache. No sooner later, muzzle stained with the dark liquid of rabbit blood did the scent rise not far from where she stood. The silencer did not hesitate to meet him. She ran with a haste, nearly toppling the both over as she ran her tongue across the cheek of the prodigal son. The dark woman barely noticed the other dark figure present with them.

"Alexander! Why have you not come to see your siblings?" She knew perfectly well that they were not even old enough to interact yet, but she would have assumed Xan would show some remote interest in his younger siblings. And her tone did not hide her apparent disappointment. She loved him, yet, she did not understand him. He acted so cut off, yet he had everything. It puzzle her, yet she had learned not to bother him so long ago about those things. Pity was not what Alexander needed, it would only drive him mad. Yet, her gaze drifted from the red-eyed boy to yet another, red-eyed wolf. It was peculiar, to come across two individual blessed with the blood moon optics, and for a mere second was she taken aback by the similarities. Yet, not for long. One was Xan, her son; the other was a stranger. A strange girl, canoodling with her step-son at the borders of her pack. The dark woman knew she had a history of over-bearing protectiveness, her sister's case specifially, yet Alexander was a whole different story. Alexander was her son. Her first son. She did not approve.

Her gaze bore down on the stranger, frigid eyes narrowing in a questioning glare that spoke volumes lacking any hospitality at all. Blackfeather Wood's history of stranger dark females was one that had caused a revolt; ever since strangers had been treated as a common enemy no matter good intentions. "Who is this?" Her eyes swivvled to Xan though her cold stare did not soften upon him. While his siblings lived, he ran about frolicking with females, not bothering to say a word. It was unforgivable, something she would not let go of easily. If Xan's intentions were of ditancing himself from his family, he was accuratly suceeding to the best degree.

to make certain they fear you more than they do the enemy

It's fine, Pom~! Assuming @Seff returned to the woods.

The male kept silent as he'd awaited the arrival of those that he'd called, shifting his weight every now and again. Anticipation gnawed at his nerves, unable to foresee exactly what sort of reactions he'd be met with. He'd been told to remain within Wolfskull, that was true, but had Damien expected him to stay there forever? He wasn't entirely sure, and it was for that reason that he'd started to feel anxious. Queer eyes shifted towards the female, watching her, only for his attention to be drawn back towards the woods in response to the sound of footfalls. Steadying himself, he'd felt a breath escape his lungs upon seeing which of the Spiderlings had answered his call—Potema, the only female of the trio, and another one that he'd left a terrible first impression on. No matter, he'd readied himself to speak, only to be stopped before the first word had formed by her question. Brows pinched together for a second before he'd given a shake of his head. "Not here," the boy responded, clarifying a moment later. "He already went back into the woods." He should have, at least. If he'd gone elsewhere after having been sent off by the albino, then that was his own business.

Hardly a moment had passed—it definitely hadn't been enough of time for him to process that which had happened—and he'd been rammed into, the impact having forced the air out of him. Lips pulled back, a growl having started to form, only to be smothered the second he realized who had crashed into him. A frown took its place across his lips when she'd run her tongue over his cheek, having never been too interested in the display of public affections. The expression deepened when she'd asked him a question. They hadn't seen one another in quite some time, and the only thing she had to bring up was his new siblings? It bothered him. "Why should I see them?" he'd said, answering with a question of his own. "They can't do anything right now, and won't be able to for a while still, so what's the point of visiting? I don't want to just sit there and look at your children." He didn't want to see the interactions between a family that he was sure to be pushed out of.

Swallowing, he'd moved back, swinging his head then towards the stranger. "This is Unfortunate," he began, looking back towards Nemesis as he spoke. There was a harsh look within her gaze, one of which that had him looking past, rather than directly at, her. "I met her at the lake and thought I'd bring her here to try and join. She'd be helpful to have around." Well, he hoped so, anyways. She hadn't yet done anything to really leave a huge impression, but she had to have experience in something. He couldn't possibly have found the only useless loner within the Wilds, could he?

She was upset that her charge had slipped away from her view, but was even angrier at the disgraced Inuit for not even bothering to keep an eye on him. She would have to find the boy later, unwilling to let Xan get away with whatever he was doing. Did you lead him-

A black blur shot into view, and for a moment Potema thought it was Damien. He was supposed to be in Wolfskull Cave, not cavorting about with loners. Was he trying to gain their favor? It was not, however, her elder brother, but Nemesis, uncharacteristically far from her newest children. Potema would have normally chuckled at the sight, but she was worried. Worried for Seff, suspicious of this loner. She scowled at the woman, named Unfortunate. Helpful how?
