what kinda fuckin answer was that. terance stared at her as she said something about just kidding... and then stepped forward. she was sending mixed signals all over the place. or, well, maybe she wasn't. as emotionally in tune as terance was with himself, he was (again) pretty bad at picking up on things. 

he was quiet for a moment, and then he too stepped forwards again -- until the distance was closed. until he stood just before her with a kind confusion in his gaze, though his expression was not as lost as he felt inwardly. he appeared far more grounded.

"it held some truth," he said, testing the waters, reaching out to nose gently at the base of her chin.
