All Welcome
She had owed Oleander long enough. He had joined just before her birth- it had been nearly a month, and by now she trusted that she could show him the supposed secrets of the island. Thresher had brought her once; Huā was not sure if she could navigate perfectly, but she had a sense of direction and that had to be good enough for now. She left her children in the care of Daiyu, and then headed to the west coast, weaving among the boulders before finding the labyrinth's shadowed entrance. It was here that she plopped down, sending out a call in the air to summon the scout, @Oleander .

A call! One from a voice he was very happy to hear!

He would waste no time in arriving on the scene. His tail doing broad waves behind him as his features crinkled with happiness. She looked absolutely radiant, of course. Smelled of motherhood and the sea. All of it provided a sort of deep comfort.

Huā. He hummed happily as he glanced around them. What was this?

Oleander arrived rather quickly, greeting the empress with a waving tail and happy gaze. Her heart was warmed at the sight of him; he carried a great energy that made her feel more giddy already. Though he did not ask any questions aloud, she knew he must be wondering why she called, and so she offered a gentle smile, You want to see la... l-labyrinth, yes? She wondered playfully, already knowing the answer... and so she stood, padding towards the tunnel's nearby entrance, hoping he would follow. At the entrance the air felt cold, and the darkness seemed to stretch towards her, as if telling the story of the system below... and she sucked in a breath, finding the strangeness of the air marvelous.
if you want to pp hua entering for flow that's fine- or we can take it at slower pace, I'm ok either way :) just didn't want to do toooo much in one post

Oh! That was why he had been called!

Excitement filled him and exited in the form of a quickly wagging tail. He couldn't hide it even if he wanted to. His head nodded a bit. Yes! Please. Very content to follow into the mouth of the labyrinth. The cool air and darkness was more welcoming than he'd like to admit. A reprieve from the sharp saltwater air he'd grown almost used to.

It's a lovely place. Even when they had only just barely scratched the surface, he was certain of that thought.

Oleander followed happily beside her like a puppy (though she had learned recently, puppies were not so obedient!) and they proceeded into cool darkness, shadows engulfing the both of them. Her companion commented on it immediately, and she giggled girlishly with a shake of her head, leading him deeper with a wave of her tail. All sound of the gulls and waves above faded, making room for peaceful quiet interrupted only by water dripping from rock formations. Huā motioned towards a hanging stalactite with her muzzle, eyes sparkling, curious if Oleander had ever seen such a thing.
