Private

He afternoon nap was interrupted by the shining sun through the entrance of the den. She could see the sun and the bright blue sky. A bird flitered by, and then another. She had spent a lot of time at the entrance of the den, investigating their tiny corner of the world under the watchful gaze of their parents and trustworthy babysitters. But they were growing up fast. The princess was aching to explore the rest of the territory they were told about. The short trips with their parents wasn't enough. She wanted to see more, and do more. A meet more people. The princess was tired of being cooped up.

Lifting her head, she glanced around for her mother or father. Finding only her brother and sister, Sumi grew hopeful that they were alone. They had all been napping after all. Slowly Sumi shimmied her way out of the sibling sandwich and made her way up and out of the den. The sun only blinding her for a moment. The girl couldn't see anyone out here either! Were they alone?! OMG! Her excitement grew, and any sleepiness from just waking up quickly wore off. Her tail and her ears perking up, she took a few hesitant steps away from the entrance. Sure that an adult would pop out at any moment to stop her.

Hotaru had grown rather used to the small routines offered by their parents, even if she had wandered off on her own a few times now. The young princess knew to be wary though and the wolves she had encountered were all friendly. She would be smart and safe...her sister on the other hand...

The snowy girl had been content leaning against Sumi, slumbering lightly as Reiko had stepped out to tend to whatever it was she had to do, but her peace was quickly interrupted as her sister kicked and squirmed. Once Sumi had slipped away, Hotaru's weight shifted, falling against their brother with a small thump that was just strong enough to rouse her from her nap.

Sleepy eyes blinked around the den, quick to notice the lack of numbers as she caught a small rear slipping out of the den. Oh, Sumi... the youngest of them was always so quick to rush into danger and as a result, was the one who was usually lectured. That was a talk all of them would want to avoid, so while Haruki was occupied and their parents were missing, it was up to her to corral her sister. Following in the girl's footsteps, Hotaru would slip out before lightly chomping at the girl's tail to not only catch her attention but hopefully keep her from barging off without her.

Just as she was making her escape the familiar feeling of her sister chomping down on her tail stoped her. "Hey! The princess exclaimed turning sharply on her sister, and offering her a glare. Let me go. She insisted with her blue eyes. Expectantly waiting for her sister to let her go. Hotaru was the sensible one, the logical and well mannered princess. But Sumi didn't want logical and well mannered today. No no! She wanted an adventure, and she was going to get an adventure.

"Taru! Let go." Sumi rolled her eyes. If her sister didn't want to come she didn't have to, but Sumi was leaving.

As expected, she gained her adventurous sister's unapproving gaze as she cried out, but much to her relief did not fight back. Mnmmy n Daddy nrt nna ee appy— The girl spat out her sister's tail only once she was sure Sumi wouldn't immediately take off Tsnot safe alone. Honestly, that's just what they were told, but personally, Hotaru had never run into any dangers. She couldn't blame Sumi for wanting to explore, she did too, but Reiko had been much more willing when she asked.

Sumi pouted, and stuck her tongue out at her sister. She understood, it wasn't safe. But she was strong! She could handle it. And if she couldn't she was quick, she could just run away. Sumi wasn't worried in the slightest. Nothing bad had happened yet, so she had nothing to be afraid of. "Imm big Taru. Me gonna esplore!" With that said, she once again headed off in her original direction. There was so much to do and explore. She heard a strange bird in the distance, and perked up at the sound. "Come wid me Taru." Sumi smiled back at her sister, hoping she could convince the other girl to come with her.

A frown wrinkled the girl's maw as Sumi stuck her tongue out and deemed herself strong. Maybe she was, but Hotaru knew all too well how easy it was for either of them to be picked up and carried off. That being said...it would be better if they were together than to let Sumi run off alone. If anything happened there would be two of them to deal with it and a witness.

Of course, her sister was already one step ahead of her as she had wandered off while Hotaru thought it over. It wasn't until she called back that she realized Sumi had already begun heading out and found herself frantically stepping in place before rushing after her. Waaaaiiit! Where even you goin? We don— don't go far.
