All Welcome
bobcat is glad to be home.

he finds a content sort of relief, though their journey to hunt for shey's killer had been ...exciting. riveting and then disappointing when justice had not been taken.

they were owed it.

the denial of it burns like a hot, festering wound beneath his breast but he tucks it away.

he spends his morning decorating a small, yet spacious den he found. instinct tells him he must move on from mother and father's den and bobcat is inclined to listen to it.

it has not yet steered him wrong.

he fills it with hollowed driftwood, spit onto the land by way of water; with a few riverbed rocks he'd collected just because he liked their shape or color.

he exits his new bachelor den then, shaking bits of debris free from his pelt; pausing at the nearby river to take a long drink of the icy cool water.

The boy was growing.

Each day brought him closer to Augur's size and Prophet could not help but marvel at it. Would the boy become a great hunter? Would he trail the path of a warrior?

Now it seems he felt the time to be in a place beyond the den of New Snow and his father. Prophet did not speak how much he dreaded when @Lilia would not need him so much. Already she seemed to bloom into independence with scouting trips.

He offered a low chuff of warm greeting.

Would the growing boy mind company?

a low chuff; bobcat's ear closest to berserkr twitches.

a last lap of the water before his head rises, golden gaze rises to give berserkr his attention.

bobcat's stance shifts, recognizing rank and berserkr's place in the hierarchy; paid much more attention to now that he was not a small child.

it does not fail beneath his notice that the hierarchical structure of redtail rise is important and that his place within it is low.

it matters now, to bobcat.

a small tilt of his head and a low rumble of greeting is offered to berserkr.

The boy submitted properly and Prophet reached for him.

With only kind teeth, of course. Hoped that he might catch a ruffle of the boy's nape to show his appreciation. Prophet was not one to force hands when it was not needed, but this behavior should be reinforced with a bit of...positive attitude, he supposed.

The brood of Augur is as vital as the brood of Avicus.

Now he gestured his head, wondering if the boy might show him what he is making.
