This is set directly after the current pack meeting. I'm making assumptions, though I figure they're reasonable! Although it would be just like Junior to misconstrue things. ;D

@Finley, I marked this 'private' but if you want others to be able to join, just say the word and I'll open it!

Whether or not the pack agreed with her, Junior shuffled back to the Healer's den posthaste. When she arrived, she popped her head in the doorway and barked so loudly that it hurt her own ears (and hopefully Finley's as well). Shen then slid inside and stood over her aunt's silvered patient.

"Guess what? Our packs aren't friends anymore," she announced. With a snotty leer, she added, "Pack your bags, bitch. You're leaving, now." Junior even went as far as to strike out one of her mangled forelimbs and kick at Finley with it, albeit lightly. Just to get her moving.

Fin hadn't thought at the time that it had been a bad idea not to go to the meeting that Dante called together. She'd heard his voice on the wind, summoning the wolves within his borders to gather. She hadn't given it too much thought except to be curious as to what it was about, though when Junior and Blue had left, she hadn't moved to join them. She was not of this pack anymore, despite their status as "sister packs". So, Fin came to the assumption that it would rather have felt like spying if she went, so she continued to gnaw upon the thick stick she'd dragged in to ease some of her frustrations at being couped up so long.

When Junior suddenly made a rather loud and obnoxious appearance, Finley almost swallowed a few splinters whole. She tightened her teeth around her stook and looked up at the girl, bewildered as the rush of vicious words came spitting out of her mouth, accompanied by one last low blow--an actual low blow.

Fin emitted a low warning growl, her eyes narrowed briefly at Junior. She wasn't one to pull rank, nor was this wolf of her pack where she really could, but even such blatant disrespect failed to go unnoticed by the Blackthorn. The moment was brief, and soon she was back to staring quizzically at the youth. "What are you talking about?" she asked, "And also--Rude."

When Finley growled at her, Junior puffed up like a cat whose tail had been thrust into an electrical socket. Her lips—no longer blemished, though she had yet to notice—wrinkled back as she bared her teeth. Her tail lashed, stiffening and arching over her back as she glared down at Finley, just daring her to perpetuate her challenge.

"You don't get to question me; you're not a member of this pack," the youth hissed. "The party's over and your invitation's expired. Dante doesn't want the caldera wolves anywhere near the plateau, much less on our turf. Your kind isn't welcome here, so it's time for you to crawl back where you came from."

When she finished, she lunged for Finley's scruff. She was prepared to drag her out by force if necessary, ignoring the fact that she definitely didn't have the strength for it.

Junior's reaction to her growl caused Fin alarm, and she responded in kind. The hackles on the back of her neck rose and her lips peeled back from her teeth. Her mind tried to grasp onto what the girl was saying, but she was too distracted watching her movements. Years of training made her well prepared to figuring out when a snake was about to strike (HA! And you all thought she was just screwing around all these threads), and sure enough, after spewing her venom, the black cobra lunged at her.

Fin reacted quickly, aiming to thrust herself non-injured shoulder first into the juvenille's chest. Her thought was only to knock the girl down so that she could escape the den. She had no problem with leaving, but Peregrine's daughter or not, she was not going to be thrown out like some old rabbit hide.

Finley rushed upward to meet Junior's assault, thrusting her shoulder at the youth's breastbone. She hit Junior right in her sweet spot; it knocked the wind out of her. Coughing and wheezing, she rocked back onto her haunches, her mismatched eyes bugging out of her head for a moment. It took her perhaps twenty seconds to recover, during which Finley made considerable progress toward escape.

As soon as she could manage it, Junior spun around and lurched to her feet. Wincing at the stitch in her chest, she scooted out of the den, eyes immediately narrowing as she scanned for any sign of Finley. She should have been satisfied when her gaze zeroed in on the lady's retreating backside, yet the youth felt compelled to trot after her and make sure she actually left the plateau.

And while she was escorting Finley, the juvenile felt another compulsion, this time to heckle the poor woman. "Yeah, go back to the shitty caldera and its shitty leadership and your shitty life there!"

Though the cool air that washed over her once she was outside was nice, the wound on her back let it be known quite well that it, without a doubt, had not yet fully healed. It screamed in protest as she put her feet to the ground and ran a few paces from the den, but she ignored it. There were far more important things at hand.

Fin spun around after she'd loped a few paces away to set her gaze upon Junior. She stood tall and silent, head and tail lifted dominantly as she gazed defiantly at the child--a clear statement that she would not be bullied and that she was not running away like a coward. Fin had stared down enemies far more deadly than some smart-mouthed whelp. "Tell Blue and Lasher I said thank you," she growled, "If you can; I know how hard it is for you to express gratitude."

And with that, Fin turned to leave the Plateau, fully intending to walk every step of the way with her head held high. Well, at least until she was out of Junior's sight. If Junior even let her get that far. But yeah, after that she'd go back to cripple-walking.

Junior dogged Finley's steps but made no move to harass her other than verbally—until the gray she-wolf made a flagrant show of defiance. Then the young Warrior found herself pitching forward, ignoring the healing cuts on her legs, the cramp in her sternum and even the slight pounding in her temples. She snarled loudly as she galloped to close the space between them, aiming her sharp teeth directly at her enemy's weak spot: the wound on her back.

Despite all her training as a Warrior, Junior's haste caused her to overlook an obstacle in her path. She tripped right over the tree root, twisting her ankle and flying to the ground. By some miracle, her forelegs went unscathed in the fall as she overturned, her left shoulder taking the brunt of the impact. She might not have lost her wind but because of Finley's earlier attack, she felt an unpleasant tightness in her chest and could only sip the air as she righted herself.

Finley was already parading toward the borders, head and tail held high. The sight caused Junior to clench her jaw and hoist herself to her feet with an angry grunt. She trotted after the trespasser—her smarting ankle and shortness of breath did not allow a higher speed—and by the time Junior reached the plateau's edge, Finley had already dropped out of sight, presumably traipsing down the towpath into unclaimed territory.

Shit's about to get real

Blue strode from the pack meeting a little, but she understood most of the plan. It was a sad day, but it was one she would deal with. She wasn't about to completely cut her ties, but she would limit her visits to see Perry. Little did she know that she would be heading to the caldera sooner rather than later and it was Junior's fault.

As she got closer to the den, her brows began to meet in the middle as she saw tell tale signs of a scuffle. She broke into a run, surely to all that was good Junior hadn't had a turn for the worse or Finley. She made it to the den and looked in, both Junior and Finley were gone. She furrowed her brow and began frantically looking for them, she couldn't lose both of them she had already lost Atticus. Peregrine would be so upset.

She tilted her head and set her body and mind to the task of finding her wayward patients. She made it to the edge only to find Junior looking off in the distance with anger on her face. She chuffed a warning in her voice Junior what is going on? Why does it seem like there was a fight at the den?

When she heard a voice behind her, Junior started slightly, then turned slowly to face her aunt. She pressed her ears forward and kept her eyes lowered out of respect, though she refused to act apologetic. Even if she understood that the Healer would not necessarily appreciate what she'd done, Junior felt it had been the right thing.

"I did what probably no one else would have the balls to do. I told Finley to leave. She doesn't belong here. She's one of his wolves. We owe her nothing and it's not right that you were spending the plateau's time and resources on an enemy," the teenager said, stiffening her lip.

Blue stared at her for a breath, her eyes a little flinty. Excuse me? What gives you the right to veto what both Dante and I have said? Did we tell you to kick her out no we did not. We promised we would allow her to heal. Her voice did not raise and she did not falter, but the disappointment was evident in her gaze.

Blue took a small step forward Finley used to be a part of our pack Junior. And Lasher brought her here to heal, we promised we would care for her. They are not the enemy Junior. You may think that this is a bad deal and maybe you're still incredibly angry at your father, but it does not, does not give you any type of right to treat someone so abhorrently as that. You should be ashamed of yourself for acting so low down as to kick someone while they were down. You want to talk about right or wrong? It was wrong to treat another poorly just because you are mad at someone else. And that's what it is, isn't Junior even if you won't admit it to yourself. She shook her head, what had happened to the beautiful little girl she had watched grow up, and just like that she was mad at them all. Every single one of them for acting so selfishly and so poorly. It was sickening and sad and she was irritated with it all.

And they are allowed to visit with us they are just not allowed in the pack lands after Finley, Finley was to be the last one and you just treated her poorly. I know you've gotten a rotten deal out of all of this Junior and I am truly sorry. And it is not fair, but you should not have taken your angry and irritation out on Finley. Now i'm going to have to go find her or send someone to find her and explain to Peregrine what happened so he doesn't come marching up here to start something. What were you thinking. She shook her head and sighed deeply, what was she to do. She couldn't really blame Junior, but she could certainly tell her what she had done was wrong. Alright Junior go on and get some rest, you still need to heal up them legs. We are going to need you able bodied. She shifted and looked out over the edge of the Plateau. She was not looking forward to another trip to the caldera, but well she needed too.

Junior said nothing. She had taken matters into her own hands. She knew it wasn't her place, yet she still felt it had been the right and proper thing to do. She wouldn't budge on that, no matter how much Blue Willow—and surely Dante, Lasher and others—might chastise her.

"Dad used to be a part of this pack. He used to rule it and we still told his ass to take a hike, which is exactly what we should have done this entire time," the youth said. "Finley used to be part of this pack but she isn't anymore. She's our rival and I did what any pack wolf should do. I'm not a bleeding heart like the rest of you, I guess. Sorry." Not sorry, she added inwardly.

"I didn't mean to disappoint or upset you," she added after a moment, "I just did what had to be—" But the Healer spoke over her and Junior bit her lip. She was frustrated but she decided to let her aunt finish, though she looked up, eyes wide, when Blue Willow declared she would go after Finley.

"If you bring her back here, I will leave," she blurted, aware that she was essentially blackmailing the Beta female. "I am your pack wolf. I need and deserve your treatment. Finley is dad's problem now!" the juvenile said vehemently, then repeated, "If she comes back, I'm gone."

Blue Willow stared at her and a small glare found it's way on her maw. It doesn't matter what you thought should have been done Junior. I'm sorry but it was not your place to do so. If she had been in our borders uninvited then Yes you could have chased her away and even got in a bite or two, but the simple fact of the matter was that she was allowed here. She was offered a place to heal before we told your father not to come past the border. And once she was healed and I deemed it okay, she was to be escorted out and then no longer allowed on the territory lands. Now though because of this she may cause more problems for the plateau and us. You made our word, our bond mean nothing.

Blue let loose a growl and stepped forward her eyes flashing. Don't you try and tell me what to do Junior. Don't you dare, not only am I your elder I am also your beta and I do not deserve to be treated thusly. I said I would go after her and speak with Peregrine not that I would bring her back. She will be fine to go home, but I have promised an escort and so an escort she will have. She was sent away to soon for my healing to fully work. She frowned at her and sighed. Just from now on Junior Please speak with Dante or myself before you do something so rashly.

When Blue Willow growled at her, Junior instinctively crouched, her muzzle pointed at her paws and her tail limp. She had not intended to disrespect her leaders' wishes; it was just an unfortunate side effect of her behavior. She truly thought she'd stood up for the plateau and its wolves by punting Finley. She had done Dante's and Blue Willow's dirty work for them.

She was thrilled and more than a little relieved when the Healer said she wasn't going to bring Finley back. Good, she thought. Aloud, she said, "I understand why you're mad. I... I guess I undermined you. I really was thinking of this pack, though. I was thinking of Saena and Pura and everyone else who felt abandoned when dad left... and when wolves like Finley turned traitor too. Dante said they're not welcome here and I don't see why someone like Finley of all wolves deserved an exception. Except for dad and Fox, she's the last person who deserves one."

Junior bit the inside of her cheek, then sighed and, after a moment, added, "I really think I did the right thing. The ends justify the means. But I'll accept whatever punishment you and Dante decide to mete out and I won't bitch about it." To complement her words, she slung her belly to the ground and waited with head bowed for Blue Willow to dish out some penance.

Blue was having a hard time trying to decide what to do for the girl. She wanted to punish her, but at the same time she also understood. She understood that Junior thought she had done what was right for everyone, even if it was not in the best of ways. What was it, some of the worst things to happen, always happen with the best of intentions.

Blue nodded Yes you did undermine me, and I know you are the alpha's daughter well former alpha, but you really need to learn to mind the respect others deserve. Blue did not know what else to say, just because they had betrayed them in away. It did not mean that you couldn't treat them with decorum and manners. It was only kind, but Blue supposed she was an odd duck, and many did not see thing as she did.

Blue looked at her and shook her head Junior no need to grovel. You are in no position to be given punishment at the moment. I'll think on it and talk to Dante and go from there, for now stay near the den and don't go out of the pack territory. Truthfully she shouldn't be going anywhere anyway, because of her wounds.

Blue Willow wasn't the first to refer to Junior's relationship to the former Alpha. It seemed that, even though Peregrine had abandoned his throne, some still considered her one of the plateau's princesses. Junior didn't know how she felt about this. It seemed to be working in her favor at the moment, yet she wanted to disassociate from her father. She wanted to be a child of the plateau, not a spoiled royal brat.

"Okay. I'll go back to the den right now," she said obediently, rising and turning. "Sorry... for upsetting you, Mama Willow. I really didn't mean to do that." Without another word, the juvenile trotted back to the den. She was a little nervous about what might happen after her aunt spoke to the Alpha male, though as soon as she slipped into the medic's den, she fell right to sleep instead of worrying her head about it.
