All Welcome
Takes place 7/8

The light of the morning sun beamed through tree branches, casting a pleasant glow on the meadow across the horizon. It was just shy of day -- morning sunrise -- and the call of robins and thrushes rang through the air in a series of melodic songs and tweets.

A girl's dark face popped out of an old fox den, lying just beneath the roots of a cottonwood tree. A tangle of leaves and twigs stuck to her fur, and she used her teeth to pull them out one by one.

The rainstorm from last night came in a flash and caused the girl to run form her collection of herbs and flowers. Now morning, she rose from her temporary hideout with a hearty stretch and began trotting back down the path that lead back to the meadow -- which, thankfully, didn't appear completely demolished by the storm.

She, too, had taken refuge in the best shelter she could, having been caught in the rain in the meadow. Lilitu emerged, shaking the damp from her coat and moving along. She ought to return home, even though she didn't want to.

Akavir wanted to fight on. There was nothing to fight, but she'd honor her father's wishes—as long as she could.

These pessimistic thoughts dissipated at the sight of a gorgeous wolf traipsing through the flowers. Lilitu watched her with a slightly slack-jawed expression, admiring her beauty, before moving forward, chuffing loudly to make sure she didn't startle the girl.

She wondered if this was what she looked like, once upon a time. Before, you know, life and strife and bear had happened.

Yukimi had come here last night, primarily on a mission to find some herbs to experiment pastes and remedies with. Oh, imagine here joy when she found a whole feild brimming with every plant in the book! It was a good think that the previous storm hadn't destroyed most of it, from what she could see, but the mouthful of yarrow she'd been carrying was now gone. Oh well! She'd have to scavenge for more, it seemed.

Although someone called to her -- or, more accurately, 'chuffed' -- as she made her way through the feilds. Her head would crane up to look towards the source, a pair of glacier orbs finally landing on an approaching woman in the distance. An array of silvers and greys, similar to herself.

Yuki would meet the woman's eyes with a warm smile, waving a tail over her rump. Why hello there. She'd greet.

Were you hiding from the rain as well?

Though she hadn't taken a good once-over her scars just yet.

Hello, Lilitu replied, with a small smile. Yeah—I was out here looking for herbs when it started. Storms come on so fast. D'you know I was born in a year with a lot of rain?

She remembered it vividly, splashing through puzzles and slurping up worms a-plenty. Life idyllic in the vale, a commoner among princesses. . .and yet, she had never felt so cherished.

I'm Lilitu, she introduced herself. And you?

She tried to keep her expression neutral, entranced as she was by this silken beauty before her.

SORRY FOR THE WAIT

Really? An intrigued Yuki swiveled her ears and leaned forward to listen.  Rain must be like sunlight for you then. Or is it the opposite? It was somewhat the opposite for the she-wolf, considering a land of snow and frost had been the first thing she'd opened her eyes to in her youth. It was a beauty she wouldn't take back for anything in the world -- flowers and greenery would always hold a special place in her heart, but the rare elegance of winter couldn't be beat.

Lilitu! I am Yukimi~ She cooed. A seemingly friendly woman, who's smile matched her own. However the young dove didn't bother concealing her contentment with her new acquaintance -- her tail waved freely like a wheat in the breeze.

You say you seek herbs like me, do you practice medicine as well?
