ooc; totally assuming i can post on this board now that i'm neon green friend. generally assuming rn what happened in twinkle lil star
it'd been, what, a few days? okay, so it was more like one or two. Bee was too excited to remember. she had bounced around the camp more times than she could count, trying to find the best spot for her den. fancy that! she had her own den now! Ma and Pa would be so pleased to see their little girl growing up. the people days prior had accepted her into their ranks. she'd met the alpha, Charon, and two of his kids. Revui and Hydra. both were a bit 'keep to themselves' sorta deal but she didn't mind. she'd still be friends with them.
abandoning work on her den, the girl would try to map out Moonspear's territory as she wandered. through the thick treeline she went, sticking her head into anything she could find. rabbit holes. badger dens. probably not a smart move with badgers though. good thing they were vacant. she wanted to see what this world had to offer her. so far she hadn't met anyone else along the proverbial road. maybe they were a bit wary of this newcomer. again, she didn't mind. she assumed they'd come up to her when they were ready. she would come up to them when she wanted to as well.
bending her head, Bee would sniff idly at a strong smelling flower bunch. the day was still young, nearing the evening hours, and she was an excitable mess. soon it'd be night - and then she could see the stars again in her new home.

A sickening sound wrent the silence of the mountain, briefly bursting from a patch of twisted trees. It was a wet sound, the kind of thing that made some people feel instantly sick, or maybe morbidly curious. A few moments after the silence returned, the burly silhouette of Revui rose like a phantom and lurched free of the shade. It was unusually bright today - more like summer weather - and as the silver-clad boy moseyed on to the trail, he had to squint against the glare.
In his bloodied jaws hung some kind of animal. The neck was twisted at an awkward angle and the head was a red pendulum of broken parts, kept together by ligaments and skin. Revui was unphased by the state of the stoat. There was the dimmest gleam of satisfaction in his eyes as he began to stride along the ridge, but that faded as swiftly as the sound of the animal's death had. He seemed lethargic. For a compulsive eater, the fact that he hadn't eviscerated and then eaten his prey as soon as he could was, well, bizarre.
He was oblivious to the shape of a wolf on the path. As he got closer, so did she — and with both of them distracted, it was only a matter of time before his beefy shape smacked right in to her slender one. This result in Revui opening his mouth to huff indignantly at whoever dared block his way (ignorant to the fact that he was really at fault), which meant the freshly killed stoat fell from his mouth - right in to Bee's path, crushing the flowers that had distracted her.

crush crush! or whatever a flower made when it was brutally crushed. Bee would jump back, startled at the bloody lump flattening the beautiful flowerbed. "oh noes!" she would gasp, eyes wide and an 'o' of expression upon her face. jerking her head up, though lacking a mean bone to tell another off for this indignance, she would meet the face of Revui. he had called out, and if she hadn't jumped back previously, he would have been very close now. his bulk was enough to send her tumbling. woe is her, she lacked any muscle.
"hi Revui!" she momentarily forgot the flowers in her eagerness to greet a packmate. packmate. ooohhh that sounded so good in her head. she had a packmate! well, several but Revui was the one she had seen first. she giggled, slapping her eyes shut to grin at the boy endearingly. all sunshine and rainbows. "oops, was I in your way? I'm sorry" brilliant blues would snap back to view him. her head would bend, though she wasn't foolish enough to sniff at the stoat. "were the flowers in your way too? rude flowers... getting in Revui's way!"
she barked at them instead of him, as if expecting them to uproot and move outta the way.

Hearing her say his name with such enthusiasm was weird. She was weird; aside from Speedy, Revui hadn't developed many relationships outside of his immediate family here in Moonspear, and he didn't feel there was room for another. Still, he knew he had to make nice to some degree. His ears lanced back at the sound of that exuberant voice, and he peered down at the bloody mess and crushed flowers just as Bee began to speak to them - of them - as if they were alive. The boy frowned at this - thinking that maybe he'd made a mistake for vouching for her, as she seemed to be a little bit touched.
No,he denied, answering her question even though she was addressing the flowers. He then pushed by her and roughly grabbed the dead stoat. Tiny petals from the crushed flowers, sticking to the bloodied mass he now held in his teeth, fluttered free and fell back to earth. He looked at Bee blankly as he passed her again - intent on moving along whether she wanted company or not.

thrown a bit off to the side as he reached for his kill, Bee would go with the flow. it seemed he really was a grumpybutt, not really eager to socialize and it may be off-putting to some. especially newer recruits for Moonspear who really only wanted to get along with the natives. she didn't know what to think, truly, for he had seemed eager to vouch for her at her joining. now he was acting as if they didn't exchange words pleasantly and like she was dirt beneath his paws. "oh" she'd look to the ground, this time not the flowers.
shuffling her paws on the earth briefly, she returned with raw vigor and enthusiasm. Revui may be a grumpybutt, but she wasn't going to let him get away with it! er, well, she wasn't going to let it bring her down. he could do what he liked, really, even if she felt it was a silly way to live. "do you give everyone a hard time, or am I just special?" she would reply happily enough, grinning unbiasedly at him. inside, her organs squeezed tightly. fearful she had made a mistake in Moonspear; that if everyone was like this, maybe she should just leave.

At first he thought he'd be rid of her; that she'd take the hint and go back to whatever business had her impeding his route in the first place. He was striding along for only a few moments before she had rejoined his company, and proceeded to call him out on his attitude. Up until now he'd been in the clear; nobody had ever call him out like this, made him feel bad or wrong for his rough mannerisms. Revui stopped short and looked at her - it was hard to tell if he wanted to strike her down or not, but he looked absolutely stunned that she would say something like that to him. To him! A prince of this mountain being put in his place by a new recruit that talks to flowers!
It wouldn't have usually gotten to him. She was a nobody, here because she thought the mountain was pretty. They didn't really need her - they had Speedy, and she wasn't going to usurp his one non-familial friend in the short period of time since her arrival. But still, somehow, Revui felt his face flush beneath his silver coat. His grip on the dead stoat tightened, and a fresh dribble of bodily fluids sprouted from it, dripping on the dirt at the boy's feet while he tried not to say anything.
He didn't answer the question, having become too flustered to do so, and resumed his stalking gait.

she felt bad for it, of course, but if they were to live in the same space she had to at least do it. and better early on than never. Bee wanted to know where she stood with the wolves of Moonspear. Revui was part of that package. she had hoped they would be friends - or at least friendly - because he had been the first Moonspearian she had spoken to. he'd turn to look at her, perhaps a bit shocked by her words, before continuing on.
she wasn't sure if he had the capacity to attack her regardless of her status - the girl knew she was a lowly ranked being in the pack. nobody would miss her if she was gone. nobody would come to her aid if the higher ranked boy went at her. she knew this. yet she couldn't help but supress the shiver, exhaling the breath she had been holding when he stomped away. she wasn't afraid of Revui; she just somehow knew that he was wild. unpredictable. like nature itself. nature that she loved so much.
so in a way, she felt some strange respect for him. he was just as much a flower. albeit a violent, grumpybutt one. maybe his petals were pink... didn't Ma always say real men were pink? "okay!" she would reply to his silence, boldly (or stupidly) running up to his side before pushing ahead of him with a giggle. "I thought you'd give me a tour of the woods 'cause you obviously hunt so well, but you're busy. I get it. maybe later!" she tried not to let it get her down, this voidness between them. there were plenty of other wolves in Moonspear. that Speedy that Charon mentioned, she'd surely be social to her?
she glanced back at her packmate before walking ahead of him at a slow gait. if he wasn't in the mood to chat or hang out, she'd find someone else. no biggie. Bee would try to leave him alone now, and would totally vanish soon enough if he didn't do anything to enforce he wanted her company.

When she finally began to turn away, to leave him to his devices, there was a sensation of relief spreading through him. Maybe he should've felt guilty too, but Revui might not have had the capacity for it. He was trudging along the path instead, tasting the stoat in his teeth with a grimace, and reminding himself to steer clear of this newcomer until she's at least proven her worth. He totally missed the point she was trying to get at - and the prospect of being the wolf she meant to impress - but that went with the territory. Revui was not bright; once she left him alone, he took his surly self and resumed his work.
