Having traveled further from the Spire than she had lately, her path stretched towards Wapun Meadow. Without the Creek's presence in the valley behind the mountains, she intended to scope out the hunting in the region, or see if she could wrangle up useful herbs to stash back on the mountain. Now, with spring upon them, she could finally begin to properly extend her knowledge on that front.
Yet so far, her travels had brought her little of interest. A few doe deer, and some bright flowers (most of which she didn't have a name for), but nothing identifiable as worth pursuing. By later in the afternoon, she began to consider her other options to make these hours more useful.
The dark alpha slowed to a walk as she covered the softly sloping grassy meadow. It was peaceful here, practically picturesque too, and she was in no hurry to anywhere as she considered her next move. Then, somewhere along the way, she came upon the red fox -- a sleeping one, evidently. This brought her ears forward and perked her head up, but her pawsteps were quiet on her approach. Would he even hear? She was curious enough of the creature to investigate a little further.
But this did not pan out. Her attentions were lured elsewhere, and she continued on across the field towards her next hunt.
