Part of him knows it's ridiculous, but the idea is too deeply-rooted to shake the fear that he'll do something wrong and hurt her, or make her uncomfortable. It's the same basic concept, he reminds himself, reaching tentatively to brush his nose along her jawline if the touch is allowed, it's instinct. Wolves have been doing it forever.
