Takiyok, bless her. So many walls up, and he didn't blame her in the least. Especially not after this latest tragedy. He was about to fall silent, waiting for Antumbra, when another pale shape appeared--not any of the wolves they were looking for, but still a welcome sight.

His stomach clenched as Aure touched him, but he kept his face steady, glancing to her with a smile before returning his gaze to Takiyok. Her family is missing, he explained after bounkola had spoken. White wolves, a couple brown. Her sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Vercingetorix gave Aure a long stare, wondering why she seemed so transfixed by the northern woman. Did you see them, on your trip?
