All Welcome
That fierce pirate chick—this secluded beach was where they'd kept her captive. Where he'd been assigned to watch her during the short-lived Drageda-Rusalka war.

He'd noticed the look of her in a few wolves of this pack, so obviously she'd procreated and then some. And good for her.

"I'm not a woman who likes chains. I'm surprised you wear them so well."

He should have cast them aside, too. Chains had locked him to Heda and duty. Then to Aure, and then invariably his children with her.

And while he did not regret Dragomir and Isilme. . .

The man had bled to death in some godforsaken little lake for the sake of his son, when he could have been out kicking ass and conquering gash.

Ah, well.

Vercingetorix stood upon the wet, sandy rocks, smiling over the the roiling waves, churned up by winter waves. Maybe he'd get reincarnated at some point. Have a chance to do it all over again.

Could change things. Might not. World was his oyster.

And he hoped that fine-ass pirate chick was doing well. Wherever she was.
