He recoiled from her, his words begging, but she had no idea what he wanted. His next statement only served to further confuse and worry her. She had no idea what he was talking about; had she not known something was wrong she would have assumed he was apologizing for leaving, but she could tell something else was going on. Then he was laughing in response to her question and accusing her of torturing him, yelling the words at her like she had done something to hurt him. Her ears flattened briefly in response and she took a few more steps towards him. Sia, please she pleaded, tears forming in her fiery eyes. You're scaring me, Taki continued. Tears ran freely down her cheeks then, the fear and worry and stupid hormones all mixing together and rendering her unable to stop the wetness falling from her eyes. God she had missed her family so much. Even when she thought she hated Sia, she still missed him. She just wanted her big brother, and what she got instead was a confused mess she didn't even know how to help.
