He didn't spend very long upon the mountain. Long enough to assure them he was still alive and there to stay, but there was no telling if his commitment was taken seriously or not. Either way Revui chose to depart from the lower reaches of the territory and head across the valley. He had no reason for the outriding trip aside from a need to stretch his legs; even though he had been away from home for most of the winter season he found it cramped and limited. Perhaps his impromptu visit to the westlands had sullied him in some way.
Revui stalked through a dense forest in the center of the valley until he found a bifurcated river, and crossed in to the adjacent hollow. While he loitered there he found the scent of something edible and, like always, he wasn't going to pass up the chance to eat a warm meal; he caught up to a fat rabbit along the trail easily enough, spooking it from hiding and chasing it further north, and upon catching it the thing screeched in his grip, but died and was promptly devoured. He was pleased by the sensation of fresh meat in his belly and didn't bother cleaning the blood from his muzzle, thus painting Revui with the look of a wildling, something feral and dangerous.
He continued on, growing bold, basking in his freedom and his own power even if it had been an easy kill. The woodland that rose up along the corridor of jagged stone was not as impressive as his home, but it was familiar. More open than Moonspear - and with steep gullies of shale leading higher and higher, until there was only a cold mist to meet his eye. The boy tread carefully at first, or as carefully as his large shape could manage, and traversed the mountainous terrain with ease.
