Sun Mote Copse say you'll stay with me tonight

She smiled as he joked about her joke.  She trusted him, but depending on how long she had to stay like this, keeping her eyes shut did make her a bit nervous.  She wasn't the most graceful of walkers with them open.

She took her time and managed to not fall on her face, which was cool.  When he ordered her not to open yet, she'd been just about to peek, but squinched then shut again with a little sigh.   She wanted to see!!

Fortunately for Maia since Charon didn't really give the signal, she was way too impatient to actually wait on him to do so.  It was another approximately 30 seconds before she peeled out, and when she did her eyes flew open.  Fireflies!! She exclaimed, delighted.

Wow this was gorgeous.  One of those scenes she should probably drink in and note for future stories, so she tried.  But after a couple, she grew restless with that and moved to walk through among the lightning bugs.
